1. About the site

Talkin’ Scottsdale is a local media and podcast brand hosted by Ross Hoffman. The site provides podcast information, embedded audio, guest and recommendation forms, and ways to contact the show or learn about the businesses presenting it.

Educate to Space and Build Systems present the podcast but remain distinct businesses. Visiting this site or contacting the show does not automatically create a client, advisory, partnership, employment, fiduciary, or other professional relationship with Talkin’ Scottsdale, Ross Hoffman, Educate to Space, or Build Systems.

2. Informational and entertainment purposes

Podcast episodes and site content are provided for general informational and entertainment purposes. Guests speak from their own experience and opinions, which do not necessarily represent the views of Talkin’ Scottsdale, Ross Hoffman, Educate to Space, Build Systems, or any other guest or organization.

Nothing on the site or podcast is legal, financial, tax, medical, investment, engineering, technology, education, or other professional advice. You should consult an appropriately qualified professional before acting on information that may affect your business, finances, health, rights, or obligations.

3. Guest applications

• Submitting an application does not guarantee an interview, response, publication, or future opportunity.
• You agree that the information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to provide it.
• Do not include confidential, proprietary, privileged, or highly sensitive information in an application.
• An application alone does not authorize us to record or publish you. Any recording and publication arrangements will be addressed separately if you are invited onto the show.
• We may decline, postpone, edit, cancel, or discontinue a proposed conversation at our discretion.

4. Guest recommendations and introductions

Only submit another person’s private contact information if you are authorized to share it. Recommendations should be truthful, respectful, and relevant to the show. A recommendation does not guarantee that we will contact, interview, or feature the person.

5. Your submissions

You retain ownership of original material you submit. You give us permission to receive, store, review, and internally share your submission as reasonably needed to evaluate and respond to it. We will not treat unsolicited ideas or applications as confidential unless we separately agree in writing.

You may not submit content that is unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, threatening, infringing, invasive of privacy, malicious, or designed to disrupt the site.

6. Podcast and website content

The site design, branding, artwork, copy, recordings, edited episodes, clips, and other original content are owned by Talkin’ Scottsdale or used with permission. Third-party names, logos, music, photographs, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

You may share links to public pages and episodes for personal, noncommercial purposes. You may not copy, republish, sell, scrape, modify, remove attribution from, or commercially exploit site or podcast content without permission or another lawful basis.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Interfere with the site, probe for vulnerabilities, bypass security, or introduce malicious code.
• Use automated systems to overload, scrape, or extract content in a way that harms the site or violates applicable law.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Use the site to harass others, send spam, or submit unlawful material.
• Attempt to access submissions, systems, or information not intended for you.

8. Third-party services and links

The site relies on third-party services, including Vercel for hosting and aggregated Web Analytics, Discord for form-delivery operations, Cloudflare Turnstile when automated-abuse verification is enabled, and Transistor for the embedded podcast player. It also links to external websites and podcast platforms. These providers control their own services, availability, terms, and privacy practices.

You understand that content blockers, browser privacy settings, provider outages, or changes to third-party services may prevent analytics, forms, embedded audio, or other site features from working as intended. A link, integration, or embed does not mean we endorse every statement, product, or practice offered by that third party.

9. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site or podcast without notice. We do not promise that every feature, episode, link, or submission form will always be available, uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, security, or suitability of the site, podcast, guest statements, or linked services.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Talkin’ Scottsdale, Ross Hoffman, and the businesses presenting the show will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of—or inability to use—the site, podcast, submissions, or linked services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Maricopa County, Arizona, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the site or podcast evolves. Updated Terms will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
